It is interesting the differences between the two Verner V3 engines i have. The one on LESR 7-1/2 is cold blooded, need to choke it unless in 80 or 90’s then it has to run about 10 min before it will take throttling up. The one on LEXL ORV just starts and runs, cold or hot. The Briggs and Stratton seems to crank a bit longer when real cold but other than that good to go.
The Briggs and Stratton power plant with redrive is definitely a viable way to power a Legal Eagle XL. What Leonard is doing is providing an alternative for the lower horse power 1/2 VW and this fills the bill. With the muffler’s it is quiet, neighbors are noting. I am trying something with the Thumbnail to see reactions.
It was a beautiful morning, not wind, clouds high overhead and down low floating around, dew on the grass and temps in the low to mid 70’s. This is what flying a Legal Eagle is all about. I love how LEXL SR 7-1/2 handle, very responsive and easy to move around in the sky. Wish the chase cam was with us today, but maybe next time.
Beautiful morning with low clouds floating about and temps in low to mid 70’s, dew on the grass and wind sock hanging limp. Time to air time in Legal Eagle XL SR 7-1/2 with the Verner 3V 3 cylinder radial.
