Saturday morning flight from T25 to Echo Lake private airstrip with circle and return. Legal Eagle XL ORV powered with the Verner 3V performed flawlessly as expected. Average speed was approximately 45 mph with fuel burn of 2.2 gallons per hour.
Flying a Legal Eagle XL named ORV.
Beautiful evening, not a bump in site and very clear. The Verner 3V 3 cylinder radial took us into the air with ease and LEXL ORV and I enjoyed just looking at everything we could see in the distance and below. Great way to get above earth and join the birds.
Building Ribs without pain
I was talking to Leonard the other day and he mentioned a great way to keep the glue from sticking to the rib building fixture. Mark out where the gluing will take place on the board and then cover these areas with 2″ wide clear package ceiling tape. The glue does not stick to this tape. I have not tried this process yet but will so do in near future.
Camera mount Testing LEXL ORV
We are testing a mounting behind the machine, first video was no good because mount had excess up down and side to side movement. This video is better but I believe camera needs to be lowered so it is not behind wing so much. More to come.

Legal Eagle Support Parts
This is what I have been busy on for last few weeks. Setting up business, getting stock of materials and building up stock of for sale components. Now it is time to let the world know what is available. More parts and more good things to come.
Some Exciting news coming early next week
For the Legal Eagle Builders or those thinking about building a Legal Eagle XL or UL some exciting news. More to come.
Good Morning from ORV in East Texas
It has been a while since I have posted so getting things going again. I have finally been able to easily get in and out of ORV since getting Knee replaced in early December. Before Knee replacement the pain would get so bad i could hardly get ORV back in the hanger. Afterwards had to recoup and then get to where my knee movement was better and finally had to make some changes to ORV. A video will be forthcoming explaining and showing what has happened.
We fly the Original Legal Eagle XL with the Briggs and Stratton 23 up front.
POV Aerolite 103 flight on Beautiful December day
It was nice and calm as we lifted off or for clear blue skies. A beautiful December day with the fall colors here slightly past there prime but still very pretty. This Point of View is about as close to pilots view as is possible and provides a very clear vantage of what pilot is seeing while looking forward.
