First Flight 2021 with Legal Eagle SR 7-1/2

This year i was determined to get airborne on the First, last year it was the 25th before i was able to fly and look at how 2020 turned out. This year should be better. It was very cold and we stayed in the air longer than I had intended, Following a Cessna 150 that was flying a big pattern. Be Glad when i can get back on ORV and turn the electric motor cycle jacket on to warm up on those cold days.

Looking at Tailwheel

This is working out to be a great installation, I want to thank Denny Saleen for his installation at EAA Airventure 2018. I copied what he had and it works great. Going to change ORV to this type of tailwheel. It saves weight and works great.

Hand Propping the Verner 3V

hand Propping can be very dangerous, tie your machine down securely in the rear, do not allow movement of tail forward or up. Do not try starting above an idle unless you have someone to be on throttle to decrease to idle as soon as it starts. If trouble starting check you battery voltage. Read and understand how to hand prop aircraft engines before starting.

Loading Legal Eagle XL ORV for nest great adventure.

This is the real-time version on loading ORV in the Jayco Toy hauler. I get slower as I grow older but still going. There are other videos of the wing holding mechanisms, the trolley i use and inside of trailer and how everything is laid out. I have loaded ORV 15 times now so getting all the bugs worked out. The neat thing about this set up is i can load any legal eagle in trailer. I have loaded SR 7-1/2 twice now and will be loading again in March for an adventure with SR 7-1/2. Keep on building and flying and doing great things with the Legal Eagles, have fun and enjoy life.
