Strange scale reading. There are 16 oz/lb, but the reading shows 23lb, 18.7oz. Shouldn’t it show 24lb, 2.7oz?

Scale has reading in grams, ounces or pounds with tenths of pound.

OK, Les, so what is it reading? Looks like lbs – ounces – tenths of ounce to me, so it is reading 23 lbs, 18.7 ounces, but that seems odd or wrong. I can’t think of any other result from that scale photo. I’m sure when you ‘splane it then it will make sense!

Sometimes when it is moving up and down before it stabilizes it gets off in math. It does show 23 lb, 18.7 oz. picture before showed 24lb, 10.8 oz, and 24lb 0.2 oz and 23 lb, 10.5 oz. When balancing the wing without touching it, and trying to take picture at same time things move a round a little. Tomorrow when i weight wings completed and painted I will have help.

Thanks, Les. That makes sense, you were, as they say, busier than a one armed paper hanger. This new airplane will be a light-weight.
