Les, a lot of good work going on there. Comparing your ORV radial mount with the new design mount, I think the ORV mount is the better one. I believe it better utilizes the capability of the rubber isolators, and the steel mounting to the engine better spreads the loads to the engine. The new mount relies only on the relatively thin four ears on the engine, and, with the larger moment arm produced by the bolts, I would be concerned about breaking the engine mount ears eventually.
I’d like to see the slow motion video of the ORV mount as a further comparison.
I believe the advantage of the new mount is each of the 4 mounts will carry same actions and reactions whereas existing mount on ORV the top mounts carry a very large portion of actions and reactions. Time will tell. I will get some run time on new mount and video in next couple of weeks and get a better idea.
