Getting close

Saturday morning will be loading ORV for the Monday morning at o-dark thirty departure for Kitty Hawk. Looking forward to flying in North Carolina. Flying over the Atlantic ocean with Legal Eagle ORV is another giant goal and will be moving for ORV and I,

Kitty Hawk Travels with LEXL ORV

Last minute change in location we will be flying out of. We are now flying out of Currituck County Regional airport, about 30 miles north west of Kitty Hawk. Good news is if weather cooperates we should not only be able to get to Kitty Hawk but make a flight to Virginia.  Add another state to our Legal Eagle Travels by air.  Have lots of states to go yet.

July Adventure 2019

Saturday June 29th, loading ORV in the Legal Eagle Hauler, also know as a Jayco 260 Octane Superlite toy hauler, and heading to Kitty Hawk North Carolina. We will be flying out of Dare County Airport at Manteo N.C. Should be there for about a week. Hoping to fly Legal Eagle ORV over the Atlantic Ocean to fly over both the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean in one year. Should be a new record for the Legal Eagle XL.  Want to fly by Kitty Hawk, Kill Devils Hill and Land at First Flight Airport, get a picture or two and maybe even a video.

During our traveling by truck and trailer will take time lapse video, to record trip and to show those interested what country looks like along route. After Kitty Hawk will venture up to Oshkosh for the little gathering, EAA Airventure 2019 and the Fun Fly zone, after which we will venture back to Oakdale California where new adventures await.

Please follow along with this adventure, and let anybody know with interest in Legal Eagle XL or UL and or that type of flying. I have added, and will be adding lots more pictures, articles, thoughts, and will be adding a lot from Kitty Hawk and from EAA Airventure 2019

Weather

Flying weather can be challenging in new locations. When at Eureka California, at Northern Air FBO I was told about Windy.com. They have issues with fog and low clouds and it seems to be one of the best weather apps out there.  I have used Point Forcasts from NOAA but sometimes need more info and Windy seems to fill the bill. Also use the Weather on my Foreflight program but it works best on visibility at airports.
