Oil restrictor in event of broken oil line

If you have ever had a broke oil line it is unbelievable how much oiled is pumped all over the engine/airplane windshield and how fast it occurs as well has the time to pump oil out of engine.  A way to slow this down to provide more time to select a suitable landing site or even make it back to airport is to install an oil line restrictor at oil presssure gage line exits engine. One such restrictor is a Gauge vibration damper by Mcmaster Carr, part number 3820K12. It is make of brass and has a 1/8″NPT male and female with a 0.008 orifice diameter.  This is large enough to allow oil pressure readings but restrict flow if line breaks.
